CEO of Community Support Services
Mona Mahamed is many things to many people: she’s a mother to six children, the founder and CEO of Community Support Services, a pillar in her community, and an inspiration to every person she meets. Her passion is to make a difference and her purpose is to help people, and these two combined led her to create a social enterprise that has helped vulnerable individuals in her community since 2018. “We hope to open avenues to train women and youth alike to become financially independent by providing pathways to get them into the workforce and to grow nationally or even internationally, touching as many people as possible, creating a positive ripple effect – thriving, not just surviving!”. Among her many responsibilities, Mona is also a facilitator at Global Sisters, an initiative that exists to make business possible for women.
Author, Model, Changemaker
Suzan Mutesi understands that true power comes from who you are, not what you have. The author/actress/model/fashion designer was born in Uganda and, at age 11, moved with her family to Australia for a better life. However, despite the many challenges she faced growing up, or perhaps because of them, she continued to forge a path for herself and for those who would follow, determined to inspire the next generation to be themselves. Thanks to her sheer determination, she’s won countless fashions awards, been featured in magazines like Vogue, has worked in movies and television, currently has a podcast and has written three books; Unapologetically Black, Princess Anendha of Zamikisa: The African Princess and The Immigrant That Found Her Unapologetic Voice.
Founder and CEO Of Wandersafe
Stephenie Rodriguez knows first-hand that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, in every single sense of the word. On a trip to Africa, she contracted cerebral malaria, which led to an 18-month battle for her life that resulted in both her feet being amputated. 368 nights in hospital and 36 surgeries later, she became the first woman in Australia with above-ankle bilateral osseointegrated implants and mechanical feet. Now, this entrepreneur is on a mission to impact a billion lives by 2025 and democratise safety for women and vulnerable people. She’s the founder and CEO of her company WanderSafe, which has created the Beacon, a panic alarm, the Shakti Wearable Personal Safety Device, and the WanderSafe app.
In honour of International Women’s Day, we will be donating $3 from CAMILLA purchase for three days, through our partnership with i=Change.
From Tuesday 8 March - Thursday 10 March.
